6 Month well check

I took AJ for her 6 month well check (a little late) today.
She weighs 15lbs 0.9oz (11th%)
2 feet 3.24 inches (73rd%)
17.25 inch head circumference (68th%)
*a little side note here...the doc measured Deklan's head and it was 19 inches! Apparently he still has a shrunken head, it was in the 13th% when he was 6 months old. It doesn't seem to be messing with his intellect. *
The doc said that she looks good. She was very impressed by how advanced AJ is in her mobility and says she will be walking by 9 month. I'm so not ready for that.
Oh and she has a hernia under her belly button (gross) the doc said to just push it in when I notice it cause sometimes they will fix themselves. They wont do anything about it till she is 4 or 5 anyways.

The Children

Today has been a fun filled day for all.

I started the day by saying that I would start to seriously potty train Deklan tomorrow. Well, after changing a poop diaper I decided that I would start today! Deklan did well for the most part. No piddle accidents and only 1 poop accident. We shall see what tomorrow brings!

Then this evening I thought it would be a good idea to go get AJ's ears pierced! We had dinner at the mall and then went to Claires to get it done. She did great. After the first shot I felt her suck in a breath and knew that she was going to SCREAM, and scream she did! She held very still though so the girl was able to finish right away. I gave AJ a bottle and then she was fine. Here are some pictures....

"Fireman /Ballerina"

Deklan is obsessed with fire trucks just like any other little boy. He has a fireman hat that the little boy next door gave to him. It has a deer on the front of it so somehow it was named the "Moose Fire hat". I had nothing to do with the naming of the hat. Anyways, he adores this hat and wants to wear it everywhere! Well today he was playing with it while AJ was crawling around and all of the sudden Deklan takes off his beloved hat and puts it on AJ. He starts calling her "Fireman AJ". It was to freaking cute. Every time the hat would fall off Deklan would go back over and put it back on her head. It's nice to know that even though he will smack her in the head because she is to close he loves her enough to share his favorite hat.

After all of this boy stuff I thought that AJ needed some girl time so I put her in her tutu. I must say that she is just precious. She was standing next to a toy bin and it looked like she was at a ballet bar. I even got some pictures where it looks like she is standing on pointe (up on her toes). Her cousin Paris would be so proud.

Snow

We had our fist real snow fall yesterday. Of course Cameron is sick so guess who got to shovel? That's right ME! I hate the cold but I was a good wife and did what needed to be done. Cameron called in sick today so he's home. I haven't spoken to him yet today since he's not out of bed. I hope that he is felling better, I want him to take Deklan sledding. I'm not doing it that's for sure. I don't even own a pair of snow boots. Well, if they do go I send them with the camera.

Little lady

I never thought I would do it but I'm kind of forcing AJ to be a frilly fufu girl. I made her a tutu tonight. I have some pictures of the finished product but will have to wait till tomorrow to get pictures of Miss AJ in it. I think that I may try to sell them at a local consignment shop. What do you think?

A new year a new look

For my blog that is! Now that the background site is back up I thought that it was time for a change.

Here come some updates.....
AJ is into everything. She loves to climb into her bouncy chair, stand up, start bouncing and screaming. She learned how to get out of it today without falling on her head. Which is something that happens very often these days. Miss AJ will also pull herself up on things like the couch and let go so she ca use her hands to grab at thing. If she keeps learning new tricks at this rate she'll be doing a triathlon by the time she is 1.


Deklan is being a normal 2 year old and trying my nerves. He's into telling me "no" and doing things he knows he souldn't. He will be 2.5 in just a few weeks so I guess it is to be expected. He is still a very good boy and I wouldn't trade him for the world. Here is Deklan getting ready to play in the snow...


I just had my 28th birthday on the 15th. I got lots of nice presents and had my favorite boneless BBQ wings from Applebee's for dinner. Here I am with all my presents...


Cameron went skiing with some friends today. He was really excited to go. He loves to ski but hasn't been in years because he doesn't have anyone to go with. I can't go because of my knees.
I just hope that he gets home in one piece. Here is Cameron with the other woman in his life...

Sick Sick Sick

I feel like crap but didn't want to let my blog go "un-updated" to long again.
I feel like I could barf at any given moment (haven't yet)...I'm freezing cold even under my electric blanket....I'm dizzy and shaky too. I think that it's just a touch of the flu or a bad cold. I usually bounce back from these things in 24-48 hours. Cameron came home early today to help with the kids so I could get some rest. Now he's out getting me some chicken noodle soup. What a guy, I knew he would come in handy ;)
